Factory → Mart
Finished goods such as Explorer Kit and Island Gift Box supply retail.
About the Lab
Island Group is a brand world name, not a legal entity. Four operational companies run in Odoo, trade with each other, and share the same people-operations challenges (Shared Workforce Operations).
BUSINESS WORLD
How the four companies affect each other
Factory → Works
Installation Kit and components support field engineering.
Works → Table
Equipment install, maintenance, and activity support drive group dining.
Mart ↔ Table
Cross-promotion, selected products, and activity guest segments.
Authoritative product, vendor, and role names are in the Season 1 Business Catalog.
ONE LIVING WORLD
What happens at one company
becomes another company's problem.
Island Mart, Island Works, Island Factory, and Island Table
are not four unrelated demos.
Four companies share one Living Lab world,
may trade, collaborate, or create process friction.
These real business problems
are Odoo Lab experiment topics.
SHARED OPERATIONS
Whatever the business,
people keep the company running every day.
Island Mart, Island Works, Island Factory, and Island Table
have different workflows but the same people-management challenges.
How do new hires onboard?
Who is present today?
Who is on leave?
How is overtime recorded?
How is month-end payroll calculated?
When do system permissions end after offboarding?
These are not industry-specific questions —
they are shared operational challenges for every company.
For teaching only. All companies, people, and transactions are fictional.
